Electrifly-In Switzerland - Edition 2024

Flying into (the) future – Newsdays on aircraft with alternative propulsion systems

Here we go again – we are in the planning phase for the 2024 edition of Electrifly-In Switzerland. The necessary permits have been obtained and the event will be held for the third time at Bern Airport’s federal base. We already know of some highlights at this year’s edition and we are looking forward to the presentation of well-known companies with their new projects and aircraft. Interested parties and aviation fans, please reserve the weekend of September 7-8, 2024!

eTaster Flights

During the Electrifly-in, eTaster flights in a Pipistrel Velis electro will be offered on both days. Booking in the “Super Constellation tent” for CHF 100. The eFlights will be flown by experienced flight instructors and take about 30 minutes each, including preparation. The flight route varies depending on weather conditions and traffic load.

Contest - win an eFlight

Daily we raffle one eFlight in a Pipistrel Velis electro: Contest tickets are available at the information desk. Take part and don’t miss the drawing on Saturday at 17:00 and on Sunday at 14:30. If you can no longer be on site, we will email you the winner ticket. The winners can fly their eFlights from Grenchen airfield on a date of their choice.

How to get there

Free eShuttle service from the train station Belp, the terminal Bern Airport and from all parking lots offered by:  

Public transport

Parking spaces at Bern Airport are limited. Please use public transport.

SBB timetable and bus connection to the Bern Airport

Private transport

Please pay attention to the signalization and use only the designated parking spaces.  

By aircraft

Bern Airport waives landing fees for all electric and hybrid aircraft. As a pilot, please inform yourself about the procedures via the official publications.

Safety at the airport

During the two-day event, normal air traffic will also continue at the airport. Please respect the restricted areas and follow the instructions of the security staff.

Smoking

Smoking is strictly prohibited within the Bern Airport premises. 

Food & Drinks

Catering facilities are located to the left in front of the main entrance.
