Successful seventh edition
This year's Electrifly-In Switzerland, held this weekend at the Swiss Air Force base at Bern Airport, was a success. The event was dedicated to sustainable aviation. Around 1000 interested people visited the event during the two days it was held.

"In terms of electric drives in the aviation industry, we are now where the automobile industry was ten years ago” - Markus Jegerlehner, organiser and president of the Electrifly-In Switzerland, said in the run-up to the event. This weekend has shown: The potential is there.

Opening by guests of honour
|
The event kicked off with speeches by high-ranking guests of honour, including Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin, Bernese Cantonal Councillor Christoph Ammann and BKW CEO Robert Itschner. In their speeches, they emphasised the outstanding importance of sustainable aviation solutions and thus set the tone for an event that points to the future of the industry - as Federal Councillor Parmelin also confirmed: “Both as a Federal Councillor and as a Swiss citizen, I am proud of our country's tireless innovative power.” The heart of the Electrifly-In Switzerland, the Fly-In itself, was accompanied by a symposium that gathered top-class speakers from the aerospace industry. Representatives of the German Aerospace Centre, the winners of the Sustainable Aviation Awards 2023 Kasaero HYFLY, the electric aircraft manufacturer Pie Aeronefs, Zuri and the developers of electric propulsion systems from H55 provided insights into the future of flying.

Innovative solutions and exciting discussions
|
The exhibition in the hangar of the federal base offered an impressive variety of sustainable aviation projects. National and international development teams presented their innovative concepts here, such as Swiss International Air Lines and Lufthansa Aviation Training Switzerland, which showed their progress in the areas of Sustainable Fuel, AeroSHARK and pilot training. The eTalk, moderated by Alex Miescher, brought together experts from different areas of aviation to discuss the question: "How long will it be before Private Pilot Licence training can be conducted purely electrically?" The stimulating discussions provided valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities of this vision. The general public was offered e-taster flights, which were very popular due to the excellent flying weather conditions.

Festive award ceremonyof the eTrophy
|
The event reached its climax with the award ceremony for the eTrophy on Sunday afternoon. The prizes were awarded to pilots who had flown the longest distance to Bern in purely electric, hybrid or glider mode. The Electrifly-In Switzerland is an integral part of the aviation calendar. The next edition will take place on 7 & 8 September 2024, again at Bern Airport.

Erfolgreiche siebte Ausgabe
Das diesjährige Electrifly-In Switzerland, das dieses Wochenende auf der Bundesbasis der Luftwaffe am Bern Airport durchgeführt wurde, war ein Erfolg. Der Anlass stand im Zeichen der nachhaltigen Luftfahrt. Rund 1000 Interessierte besuchten während den beiden Durchführungstagen die Veranstaltung.

"Punkto Elektroantrieben in der Flugbranche sind wir heute dort, wo die Automobilindustrie vor zehn Jahren war." – Äusserte sich Markus Jegerlehner, Organisator und Präsident des Electrifly-In Switzerland, im Vorfeld der Veranstaltung. Dieses Wochenende hat gezeigt: Das Potenzial ist da.

Eröffnung durch Ehrengäste
|
Die Veranstaltung startete mit den Reden von hochrangigen Ehrengästen, darunter Bundesrat Guy Parmelin, der Berner Regierungsrat Christoph Ammann und BKW CEO Robert Itschner. In ihren Ansprachen betonten sie die herausragende Bedeutung nachhaltiger Luftfahrtlösungen und setzten damit den Ton für einen Event, welcher die Zukunft der Brache aufzeigt – das bestätigt auch Bundesrat Parmelin: "Sowohl als Bundesrat wie auch als Schweizer Bürger, bin ich stolz auf die unermüdliche Innovationskraft unseres Landes." Das Herzstück des Electrifly-In Switzerland, das eigentliche Fly-In, wurde von einem Symposium begleitet, das hochkarätige Referenten aus der Luft- und Raumfahrtindustrie versammelte. Vertreter des Deutschen Zentrums für Luft- und Raumfahrt, die Gewinner des Sustainable Aviation Awards 2023 Kasaero HYFLY, der Elektroflugzeug-Hersteller Pie Aeronefs, Zuri und die Entwickler elektrischer Antriebssysteme von H55 lieferten Einblicke in die Zukunft des Fliegens.

Innovative Lösungen und spannende Diskussionen
|
Die Ausstellung im Hangar der Bundesbasis bot eine beeindruckende Vielfalt an nachhaltigen Luftfahrtprojekten. Nationale und internationale Entwicklerteams präsentierten hier ihre innovativen Konzepte, wie etwa Swiss International Air Lines und Lufthansa Aviation Training Switzerland, welche ihre Fortschritte in den Bereichen Sustainable Fuel, AeroSHARK und Pilotenausbildung zeigten. Feierliche Siegerehrung der eTrophy

Der Event erreichte seinen Höhepunkt mit der feierlichen Siegerehrung der eTrophy am Sonntagnachmittag. Hier wurden Pilot:innen ausgezeichnet, die die längste Strecke rein elektrisch, hybrid oder als "Glider" nach Bern geflogen waren. Das Electrifly-In Switzerland ist ein fester Bestandteil des Aviatik-Kalenders. Die nächste Ausgabe wird am 7. & 8. September 2024 wiederum am Bern Airport stattfinden.

Une septième édition réussie
L'Electrifly-In Switzerland de cette année, qui s'est déroulé ce week-end sur la base fédérale des Forces aériennes à l'aéroport de Berne, a été un succès. La manifestation était placée sous le signe de l'aviation durable. Près de 1000 personnes intéressées ont assisté à la manifestation pendant les deux jours de son déroulement..

"En matière de propulsion électrique dans le secteur de l'aviation, nous sommes aujourd'hui là où l’industrie automobile était il y a dix ans" - a déclaré Markus Jegerlehner, organisateur et président d'Electrifly-In Switzerland, en amont de la manifestation. Ce week-end l'a montré: le potentiel est là.

Ouverture par des invités d'honneur

La manifestation a débuté par les discours d'invités d'honneur de haut rang, dont le conseiller fédéral Guy Parmelin, le conseiller d'Etat bernois Christoph Ammann et le CEO BKW Robert Itschner. Dans leurs allocutions, ils ont souligné l'importance exceptionnelle des solutions aéronautiques durables et ont ainsi donné le ton d'un événement qui montre l'avenir de la friche - ce que confirme également le conseiller fédéral Parmelin: "En tant que conseiller fédéral et citoyen suisse, je suis fier de la force d'innovation infatigable de notre pays. Le cœur de l'Electrifly-In Switzerland, le Fly-In en lui même, a été accompagné d'un symposium réunissant des intervenants de haut niveau de l'industrie aéronautique et spatiale. Des représentants du Centre aérospatial allemand, les gagnants du Sustainable Aviation Award 2023 Kasaero HYFLY, le constructeur d'avions électriques Pie Aeronefs, Zuri et les développeurs de systèmes de propulsion électrique de H55 ont donné un aperçu de l'avenir du vol.

Des solutions innovantes et des discussions passionnantes
|
L'exposition dans le hangar de la base fédérale offrait une diversité impressionnante de projets aéronautiques durables. Des équipes de développement nationales et internationales y ont présenté leurs concepts innovants, comme Swiss International Air Lines et Lufthansa Aviation Training Switzerland, qui ont montré leurs progrès dans les domaines du carburant durable, de l'AeroSHARK et de la formation des pilotes. L'eTalk, animé par Alex Miescher, a réuni des experts de différents domaines de l'aviation pour débattre de la question suivante: "Combien de temps faudra-t-il encore attendre avant que la formation à la Private Pilot Licence puisse être dispensée de manière purement électrique ?" Les discussions ont apporté un éclairage précieux sur les défis et les opportunités de cette vision. Des vols d'essai électroniques ont été proposés au grand public et ont connu un grand succès grâce aux excellentes conditions météorologiques.

L'événement a atteint son point culminant lors de la cérémonie de remise des prix de l'eTrophy
dimanche après-midi. Les pilotes qui ont parcouru la plus longue distance jusqu'à Berne en mode électrique, hybride ou en ‘planeur’ ont été récompensés. L'Electrifly-In Switzerland est devenu un rendez-vous incontournable du calendrier aéronautique. La prochaine édition aura lieu les 7 et 8 septembre 2024 à l'aéroport de Berne.
